Jon Stewart is getting back into the news game.

The former Daily Show host has signed with Apple for a new series, Variety reported on Tuesday (October 27).

In fact, Apple has already ordered multiple seasons of the new show.

Here’s a description: “The one-hour series will explore a single topic with each episode, with each topic being part of current national events as well as Stewart’s advocacy work. Each season will be accompanied by a companion podcast.”

Jon previously helmed The Daily Show on Comedy Central for over 16 years, which received 56 Emmy nominations and 20 wins. Its 10 consecutive wins for best variety series also represents the longest streak in Emmy history! The Daily Show also received two Peabody Awards while he was host.

Bruce Springsteen and Sheryl Crow have joined forces!

The 70-year-old singer and Sheryl, 57, teamed up at the Stand Up for Heroes Benefit in support of the Bob Woodruff Foundation at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Monday evening (November 4) in New York City.

This was the first time the two have ever performed onstage together. Bruce Springsteen and Sheryl Crow performed her anti-war song “Redemption Day” together, with the two backing themselves with acoustic guitars

Others in attendance to speak at the event were comedians Hasan Minhaj, Ronny Chieng, John Oliver and Jon Stewart.

Springsteen also performed five songs on his own — “Bobby Jean,” “I’ll Work for Your Love,” “I’m on Fire,” “Dancing in the Dark” and “Land of Hope and Dreams” — at the benefit. This was the 13th annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit, with proceeds going to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which supports injured soldiers and their families. Woodruff is the TV anchorman who was seriously injured while covering the war in Iraq in 2006.

Tiffany Haddish is gorgeous in a gown while hitting the red carpet at the 2019 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor held at The Kennedy Center on Sunday (October 27) in Washington, DC.

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the event by John Legend, SNL‘s Colin Jost and Michael Che, Chance the Rapper, Common, Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Chris Tucker, Morgan Freeman, Nancy Pelosi, Marlon Wayans, Kenan Thompson, Michelle Wolf, Jon Stewart and the man of the night himself, Dave Chappelle.

The award is considered the highest accolade in comedy and recognizes individuals who have had an impact on American society in the vein of 19th-century novelist and essayist Samuel Clemens, or pseudonym, Mark Twain.

“I love my art form because I understand every practitioner of it, whether I agree with them or not I know where they’re coming from. They want to be heard, they got something to say, there’s something they notice. They just want to be understood,” Dave said while accepting the award (via CNN). “I love this genre, it saved my life.”

Serena Williams shows support for her husband Alexis Ohanian at the New York premiere of his documentary The Game Changers!

The 37-year-old professional tennis player and the 36-year-old internet entrepreneur stepped out for the event held at Regal Battery Park 11 on Monday (September 9) in New York City.

Alex served as an executive producer on the project.

Also in attendance were Tell Me a Story‘s Paul Wesley, Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier, Nurse Jackie‘s Edie Falco, TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz, and comedian Jon Stewart.

James Franco sat court side last night!

The 40-year-old actor was all smiles while sitting alongside his girlfriend Isabel Pakzad at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. New York Knicks game on the sidelines on Sunday night (March 17) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Emmy Rossum, Jon Stewart and his 14-year-old son Nathan Stewart were also in attendance as they shared a few laughs and jokes with each other before the New York Knicks’ 124 to 123 win.

Last week, James and Isabel were spotted lounging by the pool outside of their hotel while on vacation in Miami Beach.

Jon Stewart is going behind the camera for his latest project!

The 55-year-old former The Daily Show host will direct the upcoming political satire Irresistible with Steve Carell in talks to star in.

Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but the the movie will be produced by Brad Pitt‘s production company Plan B.

Jon made directorial debut with the 2014 film Rosewater.

Irresistible is one of the first professional projects Jon has worked one since leaving The Daily Show back in 2014.

Jennifer Garner, Kate Beckinsale, and Eiza Gonzalez show off their styles at the 2018 ESPYs held at Microsoft Theater on Wednesday (July 18) in Los Angeles.
