During last night’s season premiere of The Bachelor, fans finally got answers as to why last season’s contestants Nikki Ferrell and Juan Pablo Galavis split up.
“It didn’t end because we didn’t love each other or [over] a lack of communication,” Nikki told Chris Harrison during the season premiere. “It just ended because of a difference of lifestyle. There was a point we said we love each other, like in a normal relationship.”
“It’s not from a lack of trying on either side. It’s just I’m a nurse in Kansas City, he lives in Miami and is in the entertainment industry. That’s his job. That’s his lifestyle. It was really hard for me to fit into that. We gave it a good try, but we’re two different people,” Nikki continued. “I wasn’t going to quit, I’m not quitter. I tried everything. He tried too. At the end of the day, we have different priorities. We have different lifestyles. It is what it is. We tried. We real-life tried, not TV tried.”
“No one prepares you for what’s going to happen on the show and being in the spotlight. It could have been easier, but I did feel happy at the end of the night. I wanted everyone else to be happy for me. It was misunderstood for a lot of reasons because we weren’t able to express ourselves, mostly him,” Nikki added.
