DeWanda Wise is taking on a big new role.

The She’s Gotta Have It actress will star in a lead role in Jurassic World 3, Variety reported on Friday (October 18).

DeWanda joins a cast that includes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who return from the previous films, as well as Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, who starred in the original Jurassic Park.

Mamoudou Athie is also joining the cast.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with dinosaurs leaving the island and entering civilization, so it’s likely that the third movie will pick up where that film left off.

The 31-year-old Sorry For Your Loss actor is taking on a lead role in the upcoming Jurassic World 3, Deadline reported on Thursday (October 17).

He’s set to join Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum in the upcoming sequel.

Colin Trevorrow will return to direct.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with dinosaurs leaving the island and entering civilization, so it’s likely that the third movie will pick up where that film left off.

The stars of the classic movie Jurassic Park – Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill – are reuniting for the upcoming movie Jurassic World 3!

Laura broke the news while appearing at a fan screening of Battle at Big Rock, the eight-minute short film set in the Jurassic universe, according to Deadline.

Colin Trevorrow, who directed the short film and the first Jurassic World movie, will return to direct the upcoming third installment.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with dinosaurs leaving the island and entering civilization, so it’s likely that the third movie will pick up where that film left off. Jeff made a cameo appearance in that film.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be back for the movie as well!

Fans believe the new Jurassic World short film might hint at the plot of the upcoming third movie in the franchise!

The short film – titled Battle at Big Rock – was directed by Jurassic World writer and director Colin Trevorrow.

The short takes place one year after the events of the last Jurassic World film in Big Rock National Park, where dinosaurs are now living in our world. The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.

Colin will also be heavily involved in Jurassic World 3!

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning to Jurassic World – for a ride at Universal Studios!

The co-stars will join BD Wong to reprise their roles in the hit movie in an all-new storyline for the upcoming Universal Studios Hollywood attraction, according to a new press release on Thursday (May 23).

On Jurassic World — The Ride, the actors “will shed light on their interactions with the dinosaurs along with facts and information about the imposing prehistoric creatures that first roamed the earth more than 65 million years ago.”

The ride will allow riders to see the Mosasaurus in her natural habitat and will have two additional interactive components: Raptor Encounter, which will allow the audience to interact with everyone’s favorite raptor, Blue. There’s also Dino Play, allowing young visitors to give paleontology a try.

Jurassic World — The Ride arrives this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard‘s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom had a huge second weekend at the box office, earning $60 million! In total, the movie has made over $264 in America over two weeks!

The Incredibles 2 also enjoyed a big weekend, earning $45.5 million.

This weekend, Sicario: Day of the Soldado opened and made $19 million.

Rounding out the top five were Uncle Drew and Ocean’s 8, which earned $15.5 million and $8 million, respectively.

It was a big weekend at the movies for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which topped the box office with a huge debut!

The sequel to Jurassic World grossed $150 million in its first three days of release in the U.S. and Canada. The film, which was already in theaters for a couple weeks around the world, has now grossed $711.15 million worldwide, according to THR.

Box office experts were estimating the film would gross around $130 million, so it exceeded expectations!

Coming in second place was Incredibles 2 with a large second weekend total of $81.9 million for a 10-day total of $350.3 million at the domestic box office.

Rounding out the top five were Ocean’s 8 with $11.7 million, Tag with $8.2 million, and Deadpool 2 with $5 million.
