Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel reunited for a performance from their musical Wicked at the Tony Awards this weekend and fans are so happy to see them back together!

The former co-stars performed the song “For Good” at the Tony Awards Presents: Broadway’s Back event on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

It has been nearly 18 years since Wicked first came to Broadway and over 17 years since Kristin‘s final performance. For those who don’t know, Idina stayed with the show for an additional six months and then reprised her Tony-winning role of Elphaba in London.

After the show, both Kristin and Idina shared sweet messages for each other on Twitter.

Broadway fans around the world right now are probably freaking out over the reunion of Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel!

The former Wicked co-stars came together to perform the song “For Good” at the Tony Awards Presents: Broadway’s Back event on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

Kristin and Idina were part of a “duets” section at the end of the night, which also included reunions of Rent co-stars Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal and Ragtime co-stars Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

For those who don’t know, Kristin and Idina originated the roles of Glinda and Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked back in 2003. It has been nearly 18 years since the show opened and it’s still going strong on the Great White Way.

Kristin won a Tony Award back in 1999 for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Idina won a Tony Award in 2004 for her performance in Wicked.

Kristin Chenoweth is pretty in pink while arriving at the 2020 Tony Awards on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

The 53-year-old actress cozied up to boyfriend Josh Bryant on the red carpet and even got a cute cheek kiss from BD Wong.

Even though we’re in 2021, this is actually the 2020 Tony Awards because it’s the ceremony delayed from June 2020. The awards show will honor the best of Broadway’s 2019-20 season!

The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back! is airing right now on CBS and will include performances from beloved classics and the three Best Musical nominees.

The audience at the Wicked re-opening performance on Broadway was treated to a big surprise!

Kristin Chenoweth showed up to introduce the performance on Tuesday night (September 14) at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City.

Wicked, along with three other long-running Broadway musicals, had their first performances in over 18 months last night. The other three musicals that just re-opened are Hamilton, Chicago, and The Lion King.

“Hello New York!!! Okay, so I have to say it… there’s no place like home!” Kristin said while welcoming the crowd to the performance of Wicked.

For those who don’t know, Kristin originated the role of Glinda back in 2003 and she received a Tony nomination for her performance.

After her introduction, Kristin took her longtime boyfriend Josh Bryant to see The Lion King. She previously revealed last month that they’d be seeing the Disney musical.

“I can’t wait,” she told People in early August. “My boyfriend, he’s been to two Broadway shows in his life. He’s in a country band. So, I’m going to take him to see Lion King, which the first 20 minutes, he’s going to have a heart attack.”

All the stars stepped out for Christian Siriano‘s fashion show to kick off 2021 New York Fashion Week at Gotham Hall on Tuesday night (September 7) in New York City.

The designer got support from Katie Holmes, Lil’ Kim, Busy Philipps, Kristin Chenoweth, and Alicia Silverstone, who all sat front row at the event.

Other stars at the event included singer Kim Petras, model Coco Rocha, entrepreneur Leah McSweeney, Selling Sunset‘s Christine Quinn, musicians Slayyyter, and María Zardoya.

Aquaria, Nico Tortorella, Bethany C. Meyers, writer Alok Vaid-Menon, and Caroline Vazanna also stepped out for the show, and watched a special performance from Marina on the runway.

“For this collection I went back to a simpler time and looked to my past. I was inspired by the Italian women in my life,” Christian shared about the inspiration behind the collection. “The old photographs of my grandmother in the 60′s and 70′s on holiday in Positano wearing her apricot orange dress inspired an Italian coastal collection filled with color and joy. I wanted it to feel powerful and strong but also romantic like any true Italian woman.”

He added, “I hope this collection transports you like it did me and demonstrates that fashion remains to be both nostalgic but also hopeful for what is to come in the future.”

Kelly Clarkson and Kristin Chenoweth are teaming up for a new project!

The two music stars were spotted filming a video together on Tuesday afternoon (August 24) in New York City.

It appears that the singers were recording a music video that will likely air during an upcoming episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show when the talk show returns in September.

In videos that were posted online by fans, Kelly and Kristin were seen singing along to the Imagine Dragons song “On Top of the World.”

Kristin will be seen on the upcoming season of The Voice alongside Kelly. She is going to be the mentor for first-time judge Ariana Grande‘s team during the Battle Round!

The judges on The Voice are teasing their advisors for the Battle Rounds and fans have already figured out Ariana Grande‘s mentor.

NBC released a video in which the battle advisors are pixelated and their voices distorted, but it was still pretty clear that Ariana‘s advisor is Kristin Chenoweth.

The two stars held hands in the video while discussing the mystery advisor’s musical influences.

“My musical influences range starts with Dolly Parton, Carol Burnett, Madeline Kahn, it goes into Julie Andrews, it goes all the way down to where I sit right now with you, Ariana Grande,” she said.

If you’re a fan of Kristin‘s, you’ll know that these are all of her idols!

“whooooooo do you all think my battle advisor is @nbcthevoice? i’ll give you a hint: she’s the greatest human being on earth,” Ariana tweeted with the video.

Kristin and Ariana worked together in NBC’s Hairspray Live and they’ve known each other for well over a decade.
