Lizzo is still fighting against her dancers’ lawsuit from earlier this summer.

In case you didn’t know, her former tour dancers and Watch Out for the Big Grrrls contestants accused the Grammy winner of assault, discrimination, sexual harassment, and a hostile work environment.

In a September 27 response filing, Lizzo declared that she wanted the suit “dismissed in its entirety with prejudice.” She also denies “each and every allegation” against her and production company Big Grrrl touring company.

Lizzo shows off her shiny award while surrounded by her Big Grrls team during the 2023 BMAC Gala presented by Live Nation at The Beverly Hilton on Thursday night (September 21) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 35-year-old musician was honored at the event, hosted by the Black Music Action Coalition with the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award.

“Tonight, I’ve been blessed to receive the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award,” she started in her speech on stage. “This one truly hits different, because humanitarianism in its nature is thankless, it’s selfless. I’ve decided to share my platform to shine a light on people helping people. Thank you BMAC, this is truly an honor.”

Lizzo added that “it’s easy to do the right thing when everybody’s watching you, and it’s what you do in those moments where nobody’s watching that defines who you are.”

“I’m going to continue to be who I am, no matter who’s watching. I’m going to continue to shine a light on the people who are helping people because they deserve it,” she went on to say. “I’m going to continue to amplify the voices of marginalized people because I have a microphone and I know how to use it.”

Lizzo concluded, “I’m going to continue to put on and represent and create safe spaces for Black fat women because that’s what the f*** I do.”

The BMAC Gala celebrated artists, executives, entrepreneurs, and activists that have utilized their platforms to effect social change over the past year.

The honor comes just as Lizzo is facing several lawsuits from her former dancers, and a stylist.

Lizzo is being sued by another former member of her team.

The 35-year-old “Rumors” hitmaker was named in a lawsuit by her former stylist, Asha Daniels, who you might remember from her time as a contestant on Project Runway.

Her allegations mirror some of the ones listed in the lawsuit filed by three former dancers earlier this summer.

Lizzo is giving off good vibes while out for dinner with friends in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Thursday night (September 7).

The 35-year-old “Rumors” hitmaker flashed a peace sign at photographers while exiting Matsuhisa restaurant.

She looked chic in a black dress, which she paired with a jean jacket and black combat boots. Lizzo wore dark sunglasses, a necklace and large hoop earrings.

She appeared to be having a great time.

It was B’Day over Labor Day Weekend – otherwise known as Beyoncé‘s birthday – and the stars turned up in droves to celebrate!

Lizzo and her team are settling one lawsuit with her dancers as the recent one heats up.

The 35-year-old “Truth Hurts” hitmaker was sued by 3 former dancers earlier this month. In the lawsuit, they accuse her of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. She maintained her innocence in a lengthy statement.

Amid that news, we are learning that 14 other dancers sued Lizzo over her documentary Love Lizzo. They reached a settlement, and the details have been revealed.

Lizzo‘s hitting back.

The 35-year-old “Truth Hurts” superstar plans to sue the same backup dancers who are taking her to court, via TMZ.

New photos appear to show her accusers having a great time backstage following some topless entertainment in Paris, France, taken about a month after the infamous banana incident in Amsterdam, according to the outlet.
