OK Go's 'Obsession' Music Video Features 567 Printers & A Lot of Paper - Watch Now!

OK Go have released their new music video for their catchy track “Obsession,” and it’s definitely colorful!

The creative rock band dropped the video on Thursday (November 23). It took them two years, 567 printers, and a ton of paper (which has been recycled, with the proceeds given to Greenpeace).

The video was filmed in Japan and made in partnership with the paper company Double A.

“This video has a lot of flashing colors,” OK Go warns in the caption. “If you’re susceptible to seizures, be careful, please. Your viewing experience will look significantly better if you manually set your YouTube resolution settings to 1440p or 2160p (for desktop, click the gear icon in the lower right). Just leaving it on “Auto HD” results in some pretty intense distortion during a few sections, because when the the colors and patterns get crazy, there’s actually just too much information flying by for YouTube’s normal HD compression.”

“We broke the matrix,” they added. “The good people of YouTube have been working with us to solve this (it’s a bit rate limitation issue) over the last 24 hours, but there’s no quick fix, and now it’s Thanksgiving in the US, and we’re all with our families.”

OK Go Uses Only 4.2 Seconds of Footage For Amazing 'The One Moment' Music Video!

This new OK Go music video is super cool!

The band – Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka, and Andy Ross – used only 4.2 seconds of footage and then slowed that down for the rest of the video.

This is reportedly the shortest amount ever filmed for a music video.

“I’ve always had a fascination with slow-mo footage – it almost feels like cheating because everything in slow-mo is beautiful,” Damian told Rolling Stone.

He added, “We love that our videos are so often joyful and wondrous, and that they have this sort of buoyancy to them. But this song is a more emotional song … and it was like, ‘This is the perfect time to do something that is wondrous but also magical, and even a little bit nostalgic or melancholy.’”

OK Go Premiere 'Upside Down & Inside Out' Music Video Filmed In Zero Gravity - Watch Now!

OK Go have just premiered a brand new music video for their song called “Upside Down & Inside Out” and it was shot completely in zero gravity in the skies above Russia!

“It was nearly a decade ago that the world started buzzing about commercial space travel and exploration. When I heard about Virgin Galactic and Space X, it dawned on me that soon enough, people will be making art in space,” OK Go singer Damian Kulash, Jr. revealed, who co-directed the video with frequent collaborator, Trish Sie.

“So for years, we’ve been looking for the opportunity to make a weightless video,” Damian added. “I mean, what could be more thrilling than astronaut training? I met with people from S7 at a media event at the Cannes Lions festival in France and that’s where the adventure began.”

The clip was made in celebration of OK Go‘s 10 years of making pioneering music videos – Watch it below!

OK Go's 'Writing's On the Wall' Video Is One Big Optical Illusion!

OK Go is possibly best known for the doing awesome music videos and they have upped their game with the just released “The Writing’s On the Wall” video!

The video features a ton of optical illusions and it was filmed all in one take. The band spent three weeks and 50 takes to get it all right.

“It was important to me that we didn’t add a layer of meaning that’s not already there,” frontman and co-director Damian Kulash told Rolling Stone. “We wanted to be able to have messages in there, but I didn’t want them going throughout the entire song in way that would make you feel like you were reading the whole time.”
