Rooney Mara covers up her baby bump with her bag while heading to a doctor’s office for a checkup on Friday (June 19) in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old Oscar-nominated actress is currently pregnant with her first child. This will also be the first child for her partner Joaquin Phoenix!

It has been a couple years since Rooney has had a movie in theaters, but she will be seen on screen in the near future in the movie Nightmare Alley. The upcoming thriller reunites her with Carol co-star Cate Blanchett and the star-studded cast also includes Bradley Cooper, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, and Ron Perlman. (See photos from set!)

Nightmare Alley is directed by Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro and he co-wrote the screenplay with Kim Morgan.

Rooney Mara is enjoying an afternoon of pampering!

The 35-year-old pregnant actress stopped by the Cristina Radu European Spa on Tuesday afternoon (June 16) in Los Angeles.

Rooney covered up her growing bump with an oversized, black sweatshirt paired with jeans for her afternoon outing.

After her appointment, Rooney was spotted wearing a mask as she headed home.

It was reported back in May that Rooney and fiance Joaquin Phoenix are expecting their first child together!

Rooney recently teamed up with Joaquin to write an op-ed about wet markets in North America.

Page Six says a source told them the news and that she “may be as far as six months along in her pregnancy.” She was seen on the red carpet just a few months ago in a slim tight dress.

Rooney has also been seen recently wearing baggy clothing while out in the Los Angeles area, where she’s quarantining with Joaquin.

Rooney recently teamed up with longtime partner, Joaquin Phoenix to write an op-ed about wet markets in North America.

“The unsanitary living conditions inside CAFOS weaken animals’ immune systems and increase their susceptibility to infection and disease. The factory farms’ response has been to pump the animals full of antibiotics that make their way into our food supply and onto our dinner plates, systematically fostering in humans a lethal resistance to the medicines that once quelled everyday infections,” the two wrote in the article, posted to Washington Post.

It continued that “such practices have brought humanity to the point that the WHO now estimates that more than half of all human diseases emanate from animals.”

Rooney and Joaquin were recently spotted out together last month.

Bradley Cooper is sporting new facial hair on the set of his upcoming movie Nightmare Alley!

The 45-year-old actor was spotted with a thin mustache while filming the upcoming Guillermo Del Toro movie on Thursday (February 27) in Buffalo, N.Y.

Bradley was seen on set with co-star Rooney Mara, who was dressed in an all-red outfit.

In the upcoming film, “an ambitious young carny (Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is.” Rooney will be playing a carnival worker.

Joaquin Phoenix and his fiancee Rooney Mara walk the red carpet separately at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
