The guys of Bridgerton are looking suave at the 2021 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Rege-Jean Page and Jonathan Bailey – aka Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings and Anthony Bridgerton – took part in the virtual show which aired on Sunday night (April 4).

Fellow Bridgerton cast members attending the SAG Awards included Nicola Coughlan, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruby Barker, Kathryn Drysdale, Joanna Bobin, MArtins Imhangbe, and Golda Rosheuvel.

Bridgerton was nominated Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, but ended up losing to The Crown.

In news that should surprise no one, Bridgerton has been officially renewed for season two at Netflix!

The show was an instant smash-hit on the streaming service, bringing in huge ratings after just a few days.

Lady Whistledown officially revealed a major plot point of season two in a letter…Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) will be the focus of the second season!

Here’s a synopsis of the first season: Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future.

Jeremy Renner is temporarily taking his talents to the small screen!

The 46-year-old Avengers star is serving as executive producer on the History channel’s new series Knightfall, which traces the history of the Knights Templar by looking at their downfall.

The 10-hour series covers the period from 1291, when the Knights Templar were forced out of Acre, their last stronghold in Jerusalem, to Friday 13th of October, 1307, when King Philip IV of France disbanded the order.

“When I was a kid, it was cowboys and knights but even when I was a struggling actor, I collected knight swords, who knows what I thought I was doing,” Jeremy told THR. “[This is an opportunity to do something] bigger and deeper. To be in cinema today you have to be a superhero and put on tights. A lot of the quality of content has really swung to TV, it’s a place where you can really get involved in story and character.”
