'Shameless' Season 7 Finale Airs Tonight! Is Monica Dead?

The Gallagher kids deal with the death of their mother Monica in tonight’s season seven finale of Shameless.

In the episode, titled “Requiem for a Slut,” the family grapples with mixed feelings about their grief.

Meanwhile, Frank (William H. Macy) devises a new scheme, and Debbie (Emma Kenney), Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) and Liam get roped into it.

Elsewhere, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) takes steps to improve his future; and Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton) get their revenge on Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter).

Emmy Rossum Will Return to 'Shameless,' Tweets Update After Equal Pay Negotiations

Emmy Rossum has seemingly been victorious in her quest for equal pay on Shameless in future seasons.

The 30-year-old actress tweeted moments age, “Playing Fiona Gallagher has been one of the great privileges of my life. I’m so happy to continue w my SHAMELESS family!Back to work in May!”

There were reports that if Emmy did not get what she deserved, she would hold a standout and the show could have potentially gone on without her. The tweet seemingly indicates that she was given equal pay to William H. Macy, her co-star who was recently given a pay raise.

William H. Macy is responding to his Shameless co-star Emmy Rossum‘s demand for equal pay for her work on the show and he says she deserves it.

The 66-year-old actor brought up the Equal Rights Amendment and how it hasn’t been approved by all of the states so it isn’t in the constitution. “About f–king time, don’t you think?” he asked.

The TMZ reporter who interviews William brought up how Emmy is a big part of the show, but decided to play devil’s advocate as well and brought up how he is an Oscar-nominated actor with a long career behind him.

“She works as hard as I do. She deserves everything. The only thing I got over Emmy Rossum is I’m better looking,” Bill joked.

Emmy Rossum is fighting for equal pay for women, including herself, by not allowing Showtime to pay her less than her male co-star on Shameless for future seasons.

The 30-year-old actress reportedly not only wants equal pay, she wants to be paid more per episode than William H. Macy, who has made more than her in past seasons, according to THR.

Emmy has become a focal point of the series in the past season and she even made her directorial debut. She has scored several Critics’ Choice nominations for her work.

Emmy Rossum's 'Shameless' Directorial Debut Airs Tonight!

Tonight’s episode of Shameless was directed by star Emmy Rossum!

In “I Am a Storm,” Frank (William H. Macy) worries that he and his new family will lose their Home for the Homeless shelter, so he plans a little goodwill for the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Fiona drums up business by throwing a speakeasy party at Patsy’s Pies.

Emmy told THR, “I feel like the reason that it went well [for me] is because I, on a cellular level, really understand what the show is about, what it’s saying, who these people are, what their relationships are like and what the world looks like and feels like.”

Shameless airs TONIGHT, October 23 @ 9PM on Showtime.

The trailer for the upcoming seventh season of Shameless just debuted!

The seventh season picks up one month after the season six finale, and based on the trailer, it looks like a lot happens to the Gallaghers in the South Side of Chicago!
