The 41-year-old Oscar nominee plays a director in the movie, which she stars in with Ryan Gosling. In a new interview, she explained that the character pulled some inspiration from specific director.

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are getting fans excited for the release of The Fall Guy by teasing a stunt in the film that broke a Guinness World Record!
The co-stars presented an award to stuntman Logan Holladay at a special L.A. screening of the movie on Wednesday (March 13) at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Ryan and Emily were joined by co-stars Hannah Waddingham, Winston Duke, and Stephanie Hsu, as well as director David Leitch, producer Kelly McCormick, and supervising stunt coordinator Chris O’Hara.
During a Q&A before the screening, Ryan and the team presented Logan with an award for breaking the world record for most cannon rolls in a car. He successfully rolled a car eight and a half times during a scene!
“It took like eight performers to make one Fall Guy,” Ryan said (via EW). “There were times when I was like, ‘Should we be making a movie or robbing a bank? ‘This is kind of the greatest bank robbing team. Everyone had their own special skill. It was like the Avengers or something. And, in fact, a lot of them probably were the Avengers. Just look at their CVs.”

While the film’s ruthless producer (Hannah Waddingham), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. Ryan Gosling grabs a ride while filming a stunt for his new movie The Fall Guy on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Saturday (January 21) in Sydney, Australia.
The 42-year-old Barbie actor appears to be filming a scene that requires him to be dragged along on the road on a piece of metal while holding on to a shovel and was seen working with his stunt double at several points.
According to reports, the bridge was shut down so that the crew could film without interruption.
Ryan wore a pair of light jeans and a bright red jacket and looked ready for action!
This isn’t the first time that the actor has filmed daring scenes for The Fall Guy. He was spotted filming on the edge of a roof back in October.
If you weren’t aware, The Fall Guy is a big screen retelling of the classic TV series, which aired in the ’80s. Ryan is set to lead the project and plays a stuntman, which explains all of his risky scenes so far.
The project also stars Emily Blunt – who signed on last August – and Aaron Taylor-Johnson – who signed on in October and was seen heating up a scene without his shirt on.
Interestingly this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Ryan rocking the outfit he wore for his latest stunt. He also filmed wearing the same look back in October and was joined by co-star Stephanie Hsu.
If you missed it, it was recently announced that Ryan was set to star in a sequel to one of his latest blockbusters!

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is looking ripped on the set of his new movie!
The 32-year-old actor flaunted his six-pack abs while filming a scene for the upcoming movie The Fall Guy on Sunday night (November 13) in Sydney, Australia.
Aaron was joined on set by co-star Ryan Gosling and director David Leitch while working on the new action film. In between takes, he was seen doing push-ups to keep his muscles pumped.
The Fall Guy is based on the 1980s adventure television series, which followed a Hollywood stuntman who had a side job as a bounty hunter. THR reports that in the movie, Ryan is “playing a battered and past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself back on a movie with the star he worked with long ago and who replaced him. The problem, however, is that the star is now missing.”
Ryan was seen wearing a Miami Vice stunt team jacket, so it looks like his character will be the stunt guy on that show. Aaron is playing the movie star!
