OlderKate Gosselin: I Did Not Cheat With Steve Neild
Kate Gosselin, of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus Eight fame, is trying to stay one step ahead and shooting down rumors that she had an affair with bodyguard Steve Neild.
The 34-year-old mom-of-eight tells People, “The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family. Already the allegations they’re making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified.
“[Neild and his family] absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end. Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we’ve spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it’s very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team … they’re the only people you have left. And now they’re coming under fire.
“I’m totally panicking, and thinking, ‘We are going to lose our last set of friends.’ I keep calling them, begging, ‘Seriously, I’m so sorry. Don’t run away from us.’ They keep saying, ‘We’re fine, we’re fine.’ But they have paparazzi in front of their house. It’s so upsetting.
“We opened our world to this but we willingly made a conscious decision to put this out there. Our friends and family did not. I had no idea we would potentially take down the people that we love around us. It’s like saying, ‘Thanks for your support, let me sic the paparazzi on you.’ It’s very very difficult. It leaves us, essentially, alone and friendless. It’s terrible.
“The scary thing for me is [the tabloids] are going to take information and create a story. It’s a matter of, ‘When will they stop?’ They’re going to keep going, and they’ll make up stuff to connect the dots.”

This is a lovely family who does not deserve this ugly attention. Haters be damned, do away. We all have to do our part and stop buying these tabloids when we know they cover stories aren’t true. We are guilty, too. I admit I buy junk mags that I know are lying rags, just because I love to read. No more for me. Will make myself be more selective.
This is ridiculous. The media can never focus on anything positive. This family is awesome and they are tearing them down. It’s not fair to Jon and Kate or their children. Even IF either are cheating it should be between them not the entire world, which I HIGHLY doubt is happening.

These two are really a piece of work. Lovely people? They’ve pimped out their children so that they can be famous, live large and not work another day in their lives. They travel, they have guest appearance, are interviewed and photographed for magazines all the live long day. They are living the ultimate reality show. And now their real life is getting in the way of their reality. Just how long did they think they could continue to keep all the balls in the air? And keep it private? Wha? Since when have they kept ANYthing private? Oh, that’s right, that’s only if someone else picks up the bill. Since this is on their tab, it’s private. I do feel sorry….for the kids.

It’s a common strategy used by many semi-famous and highly famous – the best defence is a good offence. In other words play the victim and own very little responsibility for what is happening in your life based on the consequences of your own choices and behaviour. It’s tried and true at saving many a career and image. Now they just have to do a well planned out appreance on Oprah again and all will be good….until the next issue. Kate you chose this life willingly and freely it’s too bad you didnt see some of this coming or you didnt get better advice going into it but now your know so know better, do better but please be a good role for your kids and dont play the victim.
I can hardly wait to see these children as teenagers! They should be a real nice group. After a childhood that they have and those two as parents. Just what the world needs more mentally messed up people!
Oh Lordy Be! The show should be named “All About Kate”. Give the world a break and go home and tend to your kids and family.
Can you believe it…another story about Kate Gosselin. I hope she is happy because it seems no one else in that family is. Careful for what you wish for because it might come true. Family & love is traded for Money & celebrity what a pity. I really can go on with my life without seeing anything else about her. And by the way…has anyone seen the new ad for their new summer season? Emeril is in “her” kitchen and she hits him with a spatula?!!! That has to be the most absurd thing I have ever seen. I only wish he would have hit her back….that would be worth watching!
I remember when this show first came out. Kate was not nearly as bitchy as she is now. And WTF are they whining about how they are going to pay for college for all their kids when they live in a house worth over a million dollars? It’s sad that this family seems to have lost it’s priorities as they got more and more “famous.”
Why can’t everyone just leave the two of them alone!!! they are just a regular family that happens to have twins and sextuplets and their own show!! why does everyone have to make a big deal about them cheating on each other!! i actually enjoy the show and yea kate might not be the nicest person at times but you try have 8 kids and camera people around all the time and i don’t think that you would be all happy and joyful either!
They are the ones who chose this lifestyle for themselves and their children. This is just a part of their reality.
@Laura: Did we force the cameras in their face? If they want privacy, get off my TV, out of my magazines and off my websites. Basically, stop whoring out your children and get an actual job or skill.
Just stop already saying she is pimping out her children. They found a way to be able to spend as much time as possible with all 8 kids while still providing a good life for them. If they were off working constantly you would all be complaining about that as well. Lay off.
I know one way to get the Paps off your doorstop and your limited friends doorstep. . .Stop filming your kids and getting paid for it!! It is a classic story Kate, you made a deal with the devil and yet you are surprised about the outcome. I for one am being completely entertained by your life, so the premise of the reality show is working. Now sit back Kate and enjoy the ride, or punch the clock the rest of America and get your friends back.
All I have to say is that they better not file for divorce. Imagine the damage to the kids when you try to explain to them that mommy and daddy will not be married for ever like they promised their kids they would be on that lavish trip to Hawaii.
