Lori Loughlin is The Voice of Meningitis

90210 star Lori Loughlin holds up one cute dog at the 3rd Annual “Bow Wow Wow Hollywood” celebrity fundraising party held at West Hollywood’s The Lot on Saturday (August 22).

The 45-year-old actress is best known for her role on Full House but her most important role is taking care of her family, including her three preteen and teenage children. This is why she had them vaccinated against meningococcal disease including meningitis, which can take the life of a child in just a single day.

“Meningitis has cut short or devastated the lives of too many young people. I didn’t want to take that chance, which is why I wanted to help protect my children by having them vaccinated,” says Lori, who joined the National Association of School Nurses as the national spokesperson for Voices of Meningitis. “I urge parents to ask their child’s school nurse or health-care provider about meningitis prevention and consider vaccination.”
