Cristiano Ronaldo Returns After Injury

Cristiano Ronaldo plays for 21 minutes in Real Madrid’s Champions League match against FC Zurich on Wednesday (November 25).

The 24-year-old soccer star returned after being out for nearly two months due to an important injury to his right ankle. He feels good and is ready to face Barcelona in Sunday’s game (El Clasico) at Camp Nou.

“I’m tired because I’m still not at 100%, but I’m sure I will return to be how I was before the injury, scoring goals, having good games and helping the team,” Cristiano told Spanish television channel Telemadrid. “I had a very good reception and now I want to show them the best of me,” he said. “I want to play in the Clasico if I feel good, although that is the reasonability of the coach. In any case, with or without me, the team are first in La Liga and in their Champions League group.

    Those pictures are the only positive thing to take from last night’s game. Real Madrid will be trembling in their socks at the thought of playing Barcelona this weekend.

    Trust me, we’re not trembling in our socks, mate… We may not play as nice as them, but we have an awesome team as well and it’s gonna be a great and even match. BTW it’s sad that the only news I read in foreing press about the Best Club Of 20th Century are about CR9… We have the best goalkeeper in the world (Iker Casillas), one of the best midfielders (Xabi Alonso), not forgeting Raúl, Albiol, Arbeloa, Kaká, Granero or Benzemá… It’s a shame…

    Whatever your feelings about ronaldo, you’ve got to admit he’s entertaining. Real vs barca is going to be a cracking match… so many awesome players on display!!

    Lynaila, MATE, I’m a Madrid fan and if we’re not trembling in our socks then we SHOULD be. The way we played against Zurich was woeful and a performance like that at Camp Nou won’t get us anything but a defeat. I agree, we have some of the best players in the world and Florentino has done a great job with that but Pellegrini needs to get these boys playing like a team and playing how Real Madrid should always be playing; beautifully.

    British, MATE, you may be a Real Madrid fan but you’re forgetting something really important: our spirit. In the worst of the occasions we always face everything with our head high and playing against Barcelona only gives us more pride. Iker, Raúl, Arbeloa y Granero will play with their hearts because they’re Real Madrid players since they were children and CR9 wants revenge. It’s gonna be an even match and all we need is time to build a team as Barcelona built last year. Be patient, the good and nice play will come.

    jose manuel Says:

    first of all, none of tha players arre staters on Sunday’s game, they’ll be on the bench. all you say is the same thing that you did last year when Barça came to the Bernabeu, and do you remeber the score? 2-6 and Barcelona sweeping Madrid in his own stadium. do you belive that just with Cristiano you’re able to beat us?? ahaha no way! xD

  25. 25
    Lynaila Says:

    @jose manuel:
    You really think nor Iker Casillas, Xabi Alonso or Arbeloa are playing on sunday?! 2 of 4 and the other 2 will have minutes. We’re playing with the gala team so as I said before: it’s gonna be an even match. May the best win.
