Gabourey Sidibe & Maggie Gyllenhaal: Breath Of Fresh Air

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Gabourey Sidibe show their support for a good cause at The Fresh Air Fund Salute to American Heroes on Thursday (June 3) in New York City.

Gabourey, 27, arrived and took photos with Precious producer, Sarah Siegel-Magness. Meanwhile, Maggie, 32, chatted it up with Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. The proceeds of the fundraiser event went to The Fresh Air Fund, which gives free summer getaways for children in poor communities.

This weekend, Gabourey will be attending the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday (June 6) where she is nominated for Best Breakout Star for her role in Precious. As for Maggie, she’s set to star on stage with her husband, Peter Sarsgaard in the production of Three Sisters coming in 2011.
