In a recent interview about her music, the 26-year-old newlywed dished, “Everybody can be a firework. It’s just all about you igniting the spark inside of you.”
“This song would probably be my favorite song on the record,” Katy added.
“Firework” is the third single off of Katy‘s latest record, entitled Teenage Dream.

TY for saying what I’ve been saying for years. I remember one of Katy’s tweenie fans trying to defend her by saying, “how can she be a homophobe when she has gay friends!!!!!!!!” I was like are you fkn serious? Really? How can my father be a homophobe when he has a gay SON. It doesn’t work that way. I hate how she uses her gay ‘friends’ like accessories and even refers to them that way. Like they’re her pets/bags/shoes….and not humans.
Blech, her songs may be catchy but I can’t get with her. I’d choose Kesha who’s genuine over her any day.
