Katy Perry's Ugly Holiday Sweater: Cat Drinking Beer & 3-D Yarn!

Katy Perry rocked out at the Y100 Jingle Ball earlier this month in Miami, Fla.

The 26-year-old “Firework” singer chatted with JustJared.com before taking the stage. Check out what she had to share about her holiday plans!

JJ: What was the best present you got as a kid?

KP: A leopard coat I got in sixth grade. I was living at Santa Barbara and my mom bought it for me because I love vintage and antique store shopping. She got it for me as a surprise and you know how everybody wears clothes back after Christmas? I got made fun of super bad because it’s really warm in California, especially in wintertime. I didn’t need a fake leopard coat! But I knew I was doing something good, or something right, because all the hot moms would pull up to pick up their kids, and be like, ‘Um, where did you get your coat?’”

JJ: What’s one present you’d always wanted but never got?

KP: Speaking another language! I think that wasn’t necessarily my parents’ fault though. That was probably my own attention span. But it would’ve been really nice to learn Spanish growing up. Hopefully one day I’ll pick up other languages. I already pick up “hello” every where I go. Konichiwa!

JJ: What are you hoping to find under the tree this year?

KP: Honestly, we’re not doing presents this year because we’re going to do an experience instead. My whole life has been an experience, especially in these past few years and this year in particular. I just feel like I have so much and sometimes I feel like I have too much. What I need to do is give myself and I don’t say that to be like, ‘Oh, look at humble me pie.’ You know? I seriously have all these wonderful things and I need to give them away because some of them don’t fit me!

JJ: Are there any family traditions you have for the holidays?

KP: We just open our Christmas like the night before and we usually went and saw a movie in the evening time. We just love doing that and that was kind of our tradition and ate until we passed out.

JJ: If you could design the ugliest Christmas sweater of all time, what would it look like?

KP: It would be like really royal red, royal green, maybe some like mustard yellow. And it would be like a cat with a Santa hat on it plus it drinking beer. And then yarn all around in bad colors. Actually the yarn would be like 3D coming out.
