Amy Winehouse: No Illegal Drugs in System at Death
Amy Winehouse did not have any illegal substances in her system when she died last month, according to newly released toxicology results.
The late singer, who died a month ago at the age of 27, did have alcohol in her system, but it’s unclear if it played a role in her death, Reuters explained.
“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy‘s system at the time of her death,” her spokesman said in a statement.
“Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death,” the statement continued.
