I don’t believe that Melissa McCarthy was nominated for a lot of awards, I think she is the most unfunny thing on the film
what a shame academy, snubbed Leo one more time. Congratulations for your game night.
clooney and pitt play themselves they just got nominated so the oscars could get ratings. can’t believe joseph gordon levitt and leo dicaprio were neglected.
yay, In darkness is nominated. I keep my fingers crossed, it’s an amazing movie, deserves for Oscar.
NOT SURPRISED
BUT SHE’LL BE PISSED
YAY for Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo! They won’t win, but it’s still nice that Bridesmaids been recognized by The Academy!
DiCaprio should have at least 3 oscars already, his very first for Gilbert Grape! Such an amazing actor who can play practically everyone, speaks with different accents all the time and he always gets neglected, not even nominated this time…..
I can’t believe it!
Can’t believe Fassbender didn’t get nomination. Again talented actors were snubbed.
On the other hand, congrats to Gary Oldman for his first Oscar nomination! (finally the man got recognition)
This is not fair honestly what does Leo have to do to get an oscar, but congrates to Gary Oldman and Jessica love them
I’m guessing this years going to be a total shmoozefest like every year. Lets have a fixed smile, clap at everything and look like we’re paying attention and making connections.
I don’t understand why Iron Lady is getting such a reception in awards based on the fact the film is sensationalized and her interpretation is a laughable characature of someone who practically destroyed GB in the 80′s.
The nominations this year are a laughing stock, built in how much pr and marketing can one do to get the films noticed and how much kissing ass you can do. Last year was pretty poor when it came to filmaking so they have to depend on some films that have just been released. Once again they choose to ignore films that have an actual impact on todays society and pop culture. The oscars are an absolute joke.
@jolie snubbed
She wasn’t snubbed you idiot. Her film was not eligible for foreign category.
No Michael Fassbender and Leo DiCaprio? Um seriously?
They deserve it so much!!!
come on Michelle, you can do it this time ***
IN DARKNESS!!!! WOW, it’s an amazing movie, more people should watch it!!!!
It’s all about who campaigned the hardest… i am just tired of the oscars Leonardo Dicaprio has given more to hollywood than Brad Pitt and George Cloney put together….But you know what Leo is beyond talented the world knows that he does not need a award to prove it but some recognition would be nice …
@lolita: yep, a movie about the jews is a perfect oscar bite, well played, well played…I HOPE IT WON’T WIN!
@JOLIE SNUBBED:
But she’s not completely snubbed§ Kung Fu Panda is nominated, so she’s got a movie competing! I’m sure she feels so honored.
No Michael Fassbender or Leo DiCaprio but Rooney Mara gets a nomination? Really?….
A woman who sh*ts in a sink gets an Oscar nod, but a guy who plays J Edgar quite well and carries the entire film on his own gets nothing?
Rio deserves a YES nomination.
Are you serious where is Leo Dicaprio?? All that makeup is a waste..lol ..f oscar.
JPs are sure to be shut out once again.
No nominations for Ticky? Best performance by sitcom actress who thought she was an A-lister movie star because she married an A-list movie star. Congrats to Brad Pitt and the cast of Moneyball. Angelina made ITLOBAH to bring attention to the tragedy of the war in Bosnia not to get accolades.
I am not a fan of Leo Dicaprio, but I think for him a heavy campaign for Oscar will be next year. Because he will have two big movies released this year which already created a buzz- Great Gatsby and Tarantino’s movie.
Another interesting fact is of Ryan Gosling again not being nominated when this year he was the third person after Pitt and Clooney being on the spotlight.
Michael Fassbender…
waiting for the Oscars to get a recount.
