Whitney Houston Laid to Rest

Whitney Houston was laid to rest on Sunday (February 19) in a private ceremony held in Westfield, New Jersey.

The singer was buried next to her father, who died in 2003, according to the Associated Press.

Fans reportedly gathered near the funeral home in the morning and some “even slowly ran alongside the hearse as it began the journey to [her] gravesite.”

On Saturday, close friends and family gathered for Whitney‘s invitation-only funeral held at the Newark church where she used to sing as a child.

Whitney died February 11 in Beverly Hills, Calif., at the age of 48.

I felt like I lost my big sister. It hit me hard at the end of her service when her casket was being wheeled out to her singing ” I will always love you”. It hurts to know how much her handlers stood in the way of her getting the help she needed. I am really not trying to cast a stone , but I feel in my heart Bobby Brown has a lot to do with this. He sure proved me closer to that truth with his public “showout” at her funeral. Was it me, or his big fat ego took over? If he truly loved Whitney as he claimed then why did he go against what was requested of him to attend the funeral? It was Whitney’s day, and the little tu*rd tried to throw in some of his drama. Why oh why did someone just throw his broke a*s*s* out of Whitney’s life before all this happened? It was obvious to me she was not strong enough on her own. Rest in peace Miss Whitney, you will always be missed, we love you dearly.

First I’d like to say “Goodbye to Whitney”, she is the greatest!, second I hate the fact that the news, tried to say what happen to her before they knew anything…. a persons past is not to be judged, she was seeking help, and getting some, hopefully that counts for something!…. People say “God took her to early”, I say “God took her, because we had her so long, and now it’s his turn to have her… in heaven….. God like her voice too”. She will be missed, and news people get the facts first, then report the news!.
