Lucy Hale: Recording Deal with Hollywood Records!

Lucy Hale is goin’ country!

The 22-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress has signed a recording deal with Hollywood Records with a single and album due in 2013.

“I’m overjoyed and honored to become a member of the Hollywood Records family,“ Lucy said in a statement. “I’ve admired the careers they’ve made and can’t wait to see how my musical path is paved out. I’d just like to thank [Executive Vice President of Disney Music Group] Ken Bunt and everyone involved for giving me the chance to show a whole different side of myself, which is a huge passion for music.”

Lucy credits Britney Spears‘s “Baby One More Time” video for sparking a serious interest in pursuing music.

But as a native of Memphis, Tenn., Lucy won’t be following in Brit‘s pop footsteps – she’s decided go with her country roots!

Lucy get out of that contract fast. HR is the worst. They won’t promote your music except on Radio Disney.

If you credit Britney Spears as your musical aspiration, you should NOT be making music.

She started out by singing. She was in a kids competition

@jj Yeah she started out on American Juniors. YouTube her performances – she did well and ended up making the group!

    rikki Says:

@Sarah.: She doesn’t. She’s gonna take voice lessons to sound sem-decent and then they’re gonna produce and auto tune the **** out of it so that it fits with everything else on radio.

Well she’s with ABC Family and it’s owned by Disney so even though it may not seem like it, she is a product of Disney. When you think about it too don’t all Disney stars end up singing anyway? I made a song about the four stages of Disney stars to the tune of kissing in a tree. First comes a sitcom, then a sketchy album, then there’s lows sales, and then they drop them! I don’t want to be mean and say its going to be bad when I have never heard her sing or her album cause I am a fan of Demi Lovato. So I hope she does well with Disney dictating her music career, RUN LUCY, RUN!!!!

Poor girl. Hollywood Records is the WORST LABEL IN HISTORY. Hilary Duff left, The Jonas Bros left, and I think I heard a rumor that Miley Cyrus left (not sure.)

She is so talented, she deserve a record deal! To bad it’s with Hollywood record, Hollywood record is so bad, so many talents (Hilary Duff, Jonas Brother, Vanessa Hudgens, ….) who deserved to be promoted but weren’t! there is only Selena Gomez&Demi Lovato who have achieved to have good promotion with this label!
I hope they give her the promotion she deserve!

    Fefe Says:

@Fassdong: She was really good on American Juniors .!! She doesn’t need autotune like ahem.. selena Gomez , to sound good :) but I do think HR is a BAD choice

I really do think that country is in her area. I don’t know I guess we will all see how it all turns out. Good Luck Lucy.

Even if Hollywood records doesn’t promote her well, it doesn’t really matter she already has millions of fans because she is a successful actress who is one of the leading characters on the most tweeted about show of 2011 and she is scheduled to appear in quite a few upcoming movies opposite very very well know actors. Even though there was very little information about the record deal she signed. A lot of major media outlets have posted articles straight after it was announced.
