Lea Michele Heads to NYC After Glee's Emmy Snub

Lea Michele walks through the airport while catching a flight to NYC on Thursday (July 19) in Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old Glee actress will be launching the second annual Valspar Hands for Habitat, an “initiative that auctions off self-made celebrity handprints to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s disaster relief programs in the U.S., Haiti and Chile.”

Lea and her show were snubbed during the Emmy nominations when they were shut out of all the categories except three, including a nomination for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Dot-Marie Jones.

“I think there are so many incredible shows out right now,” Lea told E! Online. “I’m very proud of our last season. I think it was one of our best seasons ever.”

She’s kidding right?! Season 3 was horrible! It just became the Rachel and Finn show. It wasn’t even interesting anymore and the finale was all about Rachel too. Terribly written and left out some very important moments for most of the characters.

    Anyway, done ranting.

Why would it be a snub for Glee not to receive an Emmy!? Glee might be fun to watch at times but it is a really crappy show. But it is fun in a stupid kind of way. Glee is not a great show. Maybe the first season had some moments of being really good. But the writing on Glee sucks and it is all over the place. All the gossip blogs are using the term snob. But there are only so many nominations in each category. I still do not know how 30 rock got nominated. That is a snob in reverse. That show is pretty bad.

Really? Because I hated season 3 and it definitely didn’t deserve the Emmy nom when compared to season 1 and all of the better shows out there…

To say they were snubbed implies that people actually thought the show deserved to be nominated. It did not.

she is happy with her work and said nice things about the other shows, I don’t get how it was twisted to something negative. Seriously! And love the cause she is advocating for, really inspiring

Season was poor but one great spot was Matt Bomer as guest – he should have gotten guest nom in comedy.

To be snubbed means that Glee actually deserved to be nominated… These are the Emmys.

Glee got what deserved it, season 3th was the worse season on any tv show:
Finchel sucked, Quinn had 40 different personalities (Dianna Agron didn’t deserve the **** they gave to her character) , Darren was in every episode singing the majority of the songs, and again Finchel sucked.
In general the writing of a kindergarten is 100% better than anything in Glee.

Did you want to know when a show is in downhill and don’t have a clue of what to do? look a this example:
In February they ended one episode in a cliffhanger of Quinn’s accident,. Months later when the show returned what they do? An episode around Blaine having problems with her brother, and the cliffhanger? just forget about it, let;s put Quinn in a wheelchair, because Blaine crying and singing like a baby (my brother doesn’t love me) is more important than anything.
GLEE YOU REALLY SUCK, and the Emmys showed you how bad you are.
And I agree with the person who said Finchel sucked.

This last season was the WEAKEST season so far, so I can’t say I’m surprised they got snubbed and the cast shouldn’t be surprised either.

    Nathan Says:

Yeah, I’m sorry Lea; I love you and everything but if you honestly think Glee deserved an Emmy after its douchetastically-written season (from Finchel drama to douchebag Sam [so much for Chord's return being a good thing!] to making it the Blaine Show [or Blee]) you’re surprised Glee was snubbed?

    Nathan Says:

*Yeah, I’m sorry Lea; I love you and everything but if you honestly think Glee deserved an Emmy after its douchetastically-written season (from Finchel drama to douchebag Sam [so much for Chord's return being a good thing!] to making it the Blaine Show [or Blee]) you’ve got another thing coming! That season was an epic insult to REAL television and real writers out there who are struggling to find work in a world where reality TV and poorly-written shows with epic porportions of weakness are reigning supreme :/ Just– no girl! NO!
