OlderEmily VanCamp Almost Missed Out on 'Revenge' Role!
Emily VanCamp stops to hug a pal as she runs errands on Sunday (December 9) in Hollywood, Calif.
The 26-year-old actress recently revealed how she almost didn’t land her lead role on Revenge!
“When I met with [executive producer] Marty Bowen and [show creator] Mike Kelley, Marty called my agent and said, ‘I just don’t think people are going to buy her as this kind of character,’” Emily said in a recent press conference. “And I was like, ‘OK, well let me come in and prove it to you. Because I’ve got a dark side — everybody’s got a dark side.’”

She’s amazing in this role. Her character isn’t exactly the most realistic but she’s believable as this intelligent, charming but tough, icy socialite who’s capable of the ‘revengey’ things she does on the show.
