Emily VanCamp Almost Missed Out on 'Revenge' Role!

Emily VanCamp stops to hug a pal as she runs errands on Sunday (December 9) in Hollywood, Calif.

The 26-year-old actress recently revealed how she almost didn’t land her lead role on Revenge!

“When I met with [executive producer] Marty Bowen and [show creator] Mike Kelley, Marty called my agent and said, ‘I just don’t think people are going to buy her as this kind of character,’” Emily said in a recent press conference. “And I was like, ‘OK, well let me come in and prove it to you. Because I’ve got a dark side – everybody’s got a dark side.’”
