The whole “grunge” thing at 12 is just so annoying. She will never have a childhood, thats sad.

  • dcstarinthemaking

might have to grow on me, i don’t like it right now

  • TTA

How? How did Radiohead let this happen?

  • LooseLipz

    Gender identity issues?

  • Tami

Oh please people only nag these kids because the parents helped them get through. What parent wouldn’t? Obviously the public takes interests in WIllow and her brother. Let’s not forget the heaps of success they both have had on projects. Yeah daddy might have helped them start out but it the people didn’t feel it. I’m pretty sure Willow wouldn’t have gone platinum when she was 10 and Jaden’s had a blockbuster mover making over 100 million. Willow is definitely growing musically as well.

  • Tami

@Evy: What does her style have to do with her childhood? I know plenty of kids who go through that grunge/hipster look around the same age and a little older than Willow. Especially with the Tumblr inspirations they use now. I don’t see where people say her childhood is gone. It’s not like she releases a song every two weeks or something. She releases them maybe once every 5 months. She probably has other interests and stuff as well. She does ballet and piano I think? I think she will be fine!

  • sillyme

Definitely do NOT listen to this song if you’re thinking about committing suicide, because it will drive you over the edge. Good Lord.

  • TryThinking1956

A spoiled, mixed-up, little lesbian-in-training. Where are her parents? Oh, that’s right…worshipping L Ron Hubbard and the Spaceship.

  • janekay

Actually she sounds really good here…and i so agree with Tami that she is growing musically and yes she and her childhood will be just fine!

Why do people jump to conclusions that somehow clothes and a haircut are going to seriously affect gender identity or sexual orientation. That is simply too ridiculous to consider.

  • Patsy

Dont know about you guys, but im sick of will smith shoving his kids down our throats

  • Nisan

A little sad, nice voice, that’s exactly how I felt at her age. Did she write this? The more I listen, the more I like. “I try to be sugar and spice, but I’m melancholy and I can’t do anything right”. Well said, well done.

  • Jerry

No mention of that fact that the song simply uses the complete backing track for Radiohead’s song Codex?
Not even the Smiths give any credit to Radiohead – unbelievable.

  • Peapo

Willow Smith is twelve years old. I really think she belongs in JJ Jr. Kids may enjoy this but as an adult I cannot relate to her music. The Radiohead song she rips off…YES. But her little tune. No offense to her. Her voice is better than I expected. But I don’t want Will Smith’s children, famous for being his children taking over Just Jared. One Direction is bad enough and they are in their early 20′s.

  • Diedre

I like Will Smith, but his kids are way overexposed.

Let us not forget opinions are like a@@$%^*s we all have them… Unless you have walked a day in someone else’s shoes (which most if not all of us haven’t) we don’t have a clue what it is like to be these people… Praise God they have supportive parents and the freedom to be creative and make money at it… Most people wish for such an opportunity… I Pray the Creator Blesses them with the ability to rise above the challenges of life (at their level of existence) and the noise of the haters with an understanding of who God is in their life and how they effect / engage the community responsibly.
