'The Butler' Tops 'One Direction' at Labor Day Box Office

The rankings have changed for the four-day Labor Day holiday weekend and now Lee Daniels’ The Butler has become victorious for the third weekend in a row.

The historical film starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey has grossed $20 million for the holiday frame, topping One Direction: This is Us, which had won the three-day weekend. 1D pulled in $18 million over the full holiday, according to Deadline.

Coming in third place was Jennifer Aniston‘s We’re The Millers with $16.3 million, bringing it’s total cume to a fantastic $113.3 million.

Rounding out the top five were Disney’s Planes with $10.5 million and the surprise hit Instructions Not Included with $10.3 million.

Selena Gomez‘s Getaway drops down to number 10 with just $5.5 million for the four-day weekend.
