Chris Brown Taken Into Custody by U.S. Marshals for DC Charge

Chris Brown has been taken into custody by U.S. marshals to be transferred to Washington, D.C. to face charges for allegedly striking a man trying to snap a photo of him outside a hotel.

The 24-year-old singer was taken into custody on Thursday (April 3) and brought to the San Bernardino County jail where he will await transportation to the nation’s capital.

Chris‘ lawyer Mark Geragos tried to get permission to transport his client to D.C. himself, but once he filed the motion, Chris was taken into custody by the federal authorities, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Chris was ordered to jail back in March after being kicked out of a court-ordered treatment as part of his 2009 conviction for beating Rihanna.
