Audrey Hepburn's Granddaughter Emma Ferrer Steps Into the Spotlight with 'Harper's Bazaar' Cover!

Emma Ferrer, the granddaughter of the late legendary actress Audrey Hepburn, shows off her beauty on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar‘s subscriber cover for September 2014, on newsstands August 19.

Here is what the 20-year-old aspiring artist and Florence Academy of Art student had to share with the mag:

On being the granddaughter of a legend: “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline—I believe this was before I understood that she was famous. But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had… As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.”

On the films of Audrey’s she enjoys: “When I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I’ve seen My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday, but I suppose my favorite is Funny Face.”

On whether she has anything of Audrey’s: “All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter,” she says. “And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”

why would I care about this nobody, Audrey Hepburn’s grand, big whoop! nepotism lives

  • Btch911

    Shes fatter than Audrey…

  • Living in a box

    Talent cannot be heritage.

  • Janette

Who said she wants to be her grandmother? All these negative comments are unnecessary. Let her be, she is her granddaughter, you see a substantial amount of girls wanting to be the iconic Audrey Hepburn. She is no different with the exception that she can because that’s her grandmother, family. But it doesn’t mean she will be like her or ever take her place. So stop the hate, she’s a pice of Audrey not her. That’s her family, she has a connection that we honestly don’t know nor have.

  • Janette

And it is a photo shoot. Being who she is they probably had already set the theme.

  • Ava

She’s no where near Audrey’s beauty, yet still much chicer than Tippi Hedren’s granddaughter.

  • of course

    @Janette: Pretty uninteresting

  • Work for It

I wonder how and why she got the cover…besides being related to fame. So tired of these industry leaders pushing the same ole’ shizz to us. Give us someone who is “real” and isn’t famous because they slept with someone (Kardashians) or is related to a famous legend (this girl). There are tons of hardworking models and actors trying to make it on their own.

  • Sage

So she’s related to a film legend… who cares? She herself is not an actor, or model, or musician. Nepotism is rampant these days. Especially on this site.

  • Lolz

She’d never make it on that cover if it wasn’t for her heritage. She’s a plain Jane that hasn’t inherited any beauty traits from her grandmother. Go to college kid.

What is in a name, in the case of Audrey Hepburn, much! For those too young to have seen her films, a treat awaits you . Sixty years ago Audrey won an Oscar, in her first movie, for her touching portrayal of a “runaway” princess in ”Roman Holiday”.
To quote a comment by Gregory Peck, her costar in that film, and a lifelong friend,
“There is no doubt that the princess did become a queen — not only on the screen. One of the most loved, one of the most skillful, one of the most intelligent, one of the most sensitive, charming actresses — and friends, in my life — but also in the later stages of her life, the UNICEF ambassador to the children of the world. The generosity, sensitivity, the nobility of her service to the children of the world and the mothers of the world will never be forgotten”.
Young Emma Ferrer certainly has some of Audrey’s features, and seems to be a lovely, intelligent young lady. To compare her to Audrey, I guess is inevitable, but unfair. May her heritage bring her much happiness and success. Her father, Sean Ferrer, has made some touching “Tributes” to his mother, and has played a major role in the Audrey Hepburn Children Fund.
Good luck Emma, the best wishes of countless Audrey fans go with you, ciao bella Aguadi
