    Nice!

    Britshit and the britshit.

Dan Stevens looks too old for Emma Watson.

  • frikibabe

She looks good and them all too

  • frikibabe

    Better not to mention that.
    Shit for them lol

I really like her but she isn’t pretty enough for Belle. However, a UK company is producing these so they can cast who they want. After Kevin Costner did Robin Hood, I cannot say anything, even like 25 years later.

  • frikibabe

Seriously these british people make good movies :D

I hope she isn’t Belle. She really does not fit the role.

Guess it is just me, but I do not get why Disney is making so many classics into live animated. The original animated films are my favorites. I know they probably have to pay good money to the animators but it is not like Disneyland is not raking in the money. It is just under $100 for a one day one park pass and they seldom give discounts to local SoCal residents like they used to at slower times of the year. Oh they have a couple of discounts but they are all for 2 days one park or 2 days Parkhopper.
Anyway back on topic I would rather see them re-release a few classics like Peter Pan, etc.

Allison Williams, Felicity Jones, Daisy Ridley, Jessic Brown Findley, Samatha Barks would be better for Belle than Smug emma Watson & Eddie Redmayne would be a Great Beast

Emma is cute and lovely but she is no definition of ‘beauty’. I think someone like Olivia Wilde would have been perfect for the role

  • Brutally honest

Pity Olivia Wilde is a terrible actress.
    But so is Emma, so…

  • Brutally honest

Unlike such stars as Shia Lebuf or any other of these American starlets who can barely enunciate, let alone act.

Probably because they own the rights to the story, etc……they don’t have to pay to use it. SOMETHING related to money. I like the reimaginings….plus they lead you back to the classics. As a little girl, I was never into “Sleeping Beauty”..I think I watched it once or twice. I liked Maleficent as the dragon at the end. But I watched “Sleeping Beauty” again, after seeing “Maleficent”…appreciate it a lot more as an adult. But I don’t work for Disney…..

Here’s the thing, no she is not pretty for Belle… but since the demographics of who these films are aimed for the very young…it is not necessary to cast the prettiest actress in this role. Children don’t have a clue to who is pretty in Hollywood or not. They just go to see the razzle dazzle of it all and are happy to see characters they’ve seen in books come alive on screen.

  • Seizch

    No, she’s not pretty

Im so excited, especially after seeing the live action Cinderella! I hope Beauty and the Beast is darker. Im also curious about how they’re going to portray the Beast and the other non-human characters from the animated version. I cant wait!! The cast is bloody brilliant!!!

After reading some comments about Emma not being “pretty” enough to play Belle, I have to say Im not surprised considering the people who frequently comment on this site make it their life’s ambition to degrade and hate on any female and naturally the people who do it are also female.

But anyways, the point of “Beauty and the Beast” is that looks are not everything. Beauty is on the inside…thats its theme 100%. Either way, Belle’s main appeal is her intelligence. She’s smart enough to see the Beast for who he really is not for his looks. She is also smart enough to see Gaston for the prick he is regardless of how attractive others find him. Thats why she’s my favorite of the lot. Her looks have nothing to do with her appeal. She’s gorgeous because of her spirit and her unbiased nature.

That said Emma is gorgeous inside and out. She’s the perfect Belle.

Not because she is a female that all females have to like her. People have different tastes.
