Sofia Coppola Is No Longer 'Little Mermaid' Director

Sofia Coppola has just exited the upcoming live adaptation of The Little Mermaid.

The 44-year-old director reportedly left the Universal and the Working Title project over “creative differences.”

Though Sofia is no longer on the project, producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are move on with the project and will now look for a replacement.

The Little Mermaid centers on a “mermaid who gives up her life in the sea after she falls in love with a prince.”
