'Jurassic World' & 'Inside Out' Beat Out 'Terminator: Genisys' & 'Magic Mike XXL' at Fourth of July Weekend Box Office

Jurassic World has topped the Fourth of July weekend box office, for its fourth consecutive time at No. 1!

According to THR, the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard action flick grossed an additional $30.9 million, bringing its domestic total to $558.2 million – now the fourth-best showing of all time in North America (besting The Dark Knight‘s $534.9 million in 2008).

Not far behind in second place was Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out, which brought in an additional $30.1 million for a total of $246.2 millions so far.

Taking the No. 3 spot was Terminator Genisys, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke, which made $28.7 million for a five-day debut of $44.1 million.

Rounding out the top five were the star-studded Magic Mike XXL and Ted 2, which earned $12 million and $11 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, at the U.S. specialty office, the documentary Amy, chronicling the life of the late Amy Winehouse, opened to $222,015 for a location average of $37,002.
