Director James Foley has officially been offered the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel directing gig, Variety reports.
It was reported earlier in the month that he was the top choice in the search for the Fifty Shades Darker director. Sam Taylor-Johnson directed the first movie, but left due to creative differences.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will reprise their roles as Christian and Anastasia, with author E.L. James, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti set to produce the second film in the franchise.
Fifty Shades Darker will begin filming next year.
