Vice President Joe Biden Will Not Run For President

Vice President Joe Biden just announced that he will not enter the bid for the Democratic nomination for President in the 2016 election.

There have been months and months of speculation that the 72-year-old politician would put in a late bid for the nod. However, today (October 21), the Vice President announced a press conference to say he is still grieving his son Beau, who passed away in May from brain cancer. He also added that there’s not enough time at this point to mount a winning campaign.

The Vice President also added that his not running does not mean he will stay silent on issues that are important to him.

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are widely acknowledged to be the top two democratic candidates for President. Donald Trump and Ben Carson are leading the polls for the republican nomination.
