Dominic West to Play Lara Croft's Dad in 'Tomb Raider' Movie

Dominic West has joined the cast of the upcoming Tomb Raider movie, which will star Oscar winner Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.

The 47-year-old actor is set to play the father of Lara Croft in the movie. Jon Voight played the role of Lord Richard Croft in the first film franchise starring his real-life daughter Angelina Jolie.

Dominic previously played Alicia‘s dad in the 2014 movie Testament of Youth.

Also set to star in the upcoming movie, based on the popular video game series, are Walton Goggins and Daniel Wu.

The reboot of Tomb Raider follows “Lara Croft as she sets out on her first expedition to finish her father’s research and uncover ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name,” according to THR.
