Reg E. Cathey Dead - 'The Wire' & 'House of Cards' Actor Passes Away at 59

Reg E. Cathey has sadly died at the age of 59.

The Emmy-winning actor passed away recently, according to The Wire‘s creator David Simon.

Reg was best known for his role on the HBO series as well as his appearances on House of Cards.

“Reg Cathey, 1958-2018. Not only a fine, masterful actor — but simply one of the most delightful human beings with whom I ever shared some long days on set. On wit alone, he could double any man over and leave him thinking. Reg, your memory is a great blessing,” David wrote on his Twitter.

No further details are known about Reg‘s passing.
