Rami Malek Talks Filming Huge Queen Live Aid Scene on Day 1 of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'!

Rami Malek stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (October 29) and dished all about filming Queen‘s epic 1985 Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in the upcoming biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The 37-year-old actor, who plays frontman Freddie Mercury in the film, told Jimmy that it was the first point of call for the producers.

“You’re not going to believe this, but one of the greatest rock performances in history, it’s considered maybe the greatest, for some reason our producers thought it would be a good idea to start with that on day one,” Rami expressed.

“But I thought they must have a reason for doing this,” Rami added. “Because you know, if halfway through we get through this and we suck, they’ll just pull the plug on the whole production, pack it up, and go home, save $60 million and we don’t have to watch this B-rate version of Queen for three months.”

Jimmy and Rami also put their music knowledge to the test by taking turns working their way through a conversation about their favorite bands in alphabetical order in a game called A-Z – Watch after the cut!
