Netflix Is Spending a Ton of Money to Keep 'Friends' on Streaming Service!

Netflix is reportedly spending a ton of money to keep all seasons of Friends on the streaming service in 2019!

If you don’t know, there was a scare this week where fans noticed that on the Friends Netflix page, it read that the show was expiring on 1/1/2019.

Later, a Netflix exec said it was just a rumor.

On Tuesday (December 4), the New York Times published a report stating that the streaming service was paying $100 million to keep the show on the platform!

The Times also reports that two people confirmed this number to them but only “spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of the deal.”

Apparently, Netflix previously paid $30 million a year to keep the show on the service.
