John Mulaney Tells 'Fallon' Hilarious Story About Taking Pete Davidson To Steely Dan Concert!

John Mulaney stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (December 10) and told a hilarious story about the time he took Pete Davidson to a Steely Dan concert.

The 36-year-old comedian revealed that Pete, 25, agreed to go without asking any questions but that he later assumed Steely Dan was a comedian.

“So I said, ‘Pete, you don’t know anything about them?’ And he said, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Do you know anything about pop jazz fusion?’ And he said, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Pete, there is no way I can prepare you for what’s about to happen,’” John recalled.

John went on to explain that the audience for Steely Dan shows “is not young” and that people tend to stay in their seats and listen to the music rather than stand. “This has been the protocol for decades at the Beacon,” John said, which eventually led to Pete getting everyone to stand up at the concert – Watch the full interview below!
