TNT Pulls Upcoming Jussie Smollett Episode of 'Drop The Mic'

Jussie Smollett‘s upcoming episode of Drop The Mic is on hold following his arrest for filing a false police report.

The network revealed that they will not be airing the episode, which stars the 36-year-old Empire actor and Orange Is The New Black‘s Danielle Brooks, set to air on March 6.

“We had an episode of Drop The Mic this season with Jussie that you’ll now (correctly) never see, but sadly it will shelve Clay Aiken, WHO WAS A VERY GOOD RAPPER (at least for now),” executive producer Jensen Karp wrote on Twitter on Thursday (February 21).

“We are pulling the episode in the interest of not being exploitative of an incredibly sensitive situation. We are holding on airing his episode for now,” a spokesperson told Variety.

The episode remains available for a fee on YouTube.
