Superman Prequel 'Krypton' Gets Canceled By Syfy

Superman prequel Krypton will not be returning for another season.

The series, which starred Chris McCumber and told the story of Superman’s grandfather, has been canceled by SyFy after two seasons on the air.

The decision comes just days after the show’s season two finale aired.

Viewership in the series significantly dropped following its first season, moving from an average of 1.8 million viewers to just 408,000, according to THR.

The network has also opted not to move forward with Superman spinoff Lobo but the pilot will be shopped elsewhere.

Syfy also recently canceled both Deadly Class and Happy.
