Eddie Murphy Says President Obama Urged Him to Return to Stand-Up - Watch!

Eddie Murphy is opening up about his return to stand-up!

The 58-year-old actor and comedian stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday (October 25) where talked about going on a stand-up comedy tour in 2020.

Eddie then revealed that former President Barack Obama encouraged him to get back into stand-up.

“When are you going to do stand up again?” Barack asked Eddie back in 2015 when they met at the White House when Eddie was honored with the Mark Twain award.

“So I said, ‘Maybe it’s time to do stand-up again,’” Eddie said to himself after his conversation with Obama.

Eddie Murphy will be returning to host Saturday Night Live for the first time in 35 years on December 21.
