Miley Cyrus Is Recovering from Vocal Cord Surgery

Miley Cyrus will be in silence for several weeks after undergoing vocal cord surgery.

The 26-year-old singer found out that she had an issue with her vocal cords, which went undetected for years, when she was hospitalized for tonsillitis last month.

Miley just left the hospital after having the surgery and now she will have to spend “several weeks of silence” as party of the recovery process, according to People.

Just a few weeks ago, Miley shared that she would be taking a break from singing and now we know why. Her recording and performing is on hold, but a source says she is “doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year.”

Miley has her boyfriend Cody Simpson by her side during the recovery!
