Taylor Swift Didn't Answer Many Questions During Her 'The Man' Q&A, But She Revealed Some Big Scoop

Taylor Swift is opening up to fans about her new “The Man” music video!

The 30-year-old singer hosted a live Q&A with fans on YouTube in the chat section of her YouTube Premiere for the new video. During the hour-long chat, Taylor wasn’t that talkative and didn’t answer that many questions, but she did reveal some big scoop.

“I love you guys so much for deciding to dedicate your morning/evening/afternoon to this chat I LOVE YOU,” Taylor said to her fans near the beginning of the chat. After responding to the three questions she added, “Thanks so much to everyone who either stayed up hella late or got up mega early for this. I love ya – that is so nice of you.”

Taylor spoke about directing the video and what her favorite part of that role was for her, the cameos that fans can expect in the video, and Easter eggs. The video for “The Man” marks the first time that Taylor is directing a video solo!

Taylor Swift – “The Man” Q&A

On directing the video for “The Man”: “I loved the months of prep, meetings, location scouting, set design, mood boards, deciding every detail down to the wardrobe each actress/actor wore + working with them on set. So um all of it.”

On cameos in the video: “Cameos? There may be some familiar faces but not in the way you think. I love our cameo actresses & actors. I’m happy they wanted to be a part of it. One of the cameos is gonna make you guys laugh.” She also added a tennis racket emoji!

On Easter eggs in the video: “How many Easter eggs? Lots and lots. More than in any kid’s yard on easter morning.”

On the identity of The Man: “Who plays the man? A bo$$.”

On the upcoming Lover Fest shows: “I’M ELATED. I wanted to play shows in places I hadn’t gotten to go to and it’s gonna be great to see your smiling faces. (Well I hope you’re smiling, I’ll try really hard to make that happen).”

On speculation about the video: “I’ve read some articles saying they knew the video concept, and it was like…not at all correct. THAT’s how you know none of your friends are tabloid snitches, gossip sites never get it right 🙏🏼”

In response to a fan’s praise for “The Man”: “Ahh I’m so glad you love The Man, this video will be a wild ride. I had so much fun with this one.”

Near the end of the chat, Taylor also thanked fans for watching her Netflix documentary. She said, “To whoever said they loved Miss Americana, thanks so much. The experience with the doc has been SO heartening & I’m so grateful to Lana Wilson who directed it with empathy & humor. She’s the greatest.”
