The show is expected to be renewed any day after the smash success of its first season, according to the outlet.

“This title has proven immensely popular and we’ll have some exciting news about Bridgerton later this week,” Netflix revealed in its fourth quarterly shareholder letter.

The show, which debuted on December 25, is on track to be watched by 63M households across its first 28 days, making it Netflix’s fifth biggest original series launch.

The show follows eight close-knit siblings of the Bridgerton family as they look for love and happiness in London high society, starring Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton and Rege-Jean Page as Duke of Hastings Simon Bassett. The show is based on Julia Quinn’s novels set in the world of Regency London.

“A second season, if it follows the course of the books, is expected to follow Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. The second book – The Viscount Who Loved Me – focused on his story,” Deadline reports.

Bridgerton‘s Simon and Daphne are still in touch! Phoebe Dynevor opened up in a new interview about how she and Rege-Jean Page do check in with each other quite often…
