Everything 'Sources' Claimed About Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez's Split, Which Wasn't True

So many stories were written about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez‘s breakup and lots of “sources” spoke out with reasons why they split… but it all was untrue.

The couple just spoke out and confirmed that they are still together, but working on their relationship. They said in a statement, “All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.”

Page Six was the outlet that broke the story on Friday afternoon (March 12). A follow-up story from the outlet was all about how JLo and ARod were working on diving their assets.

“There have been frantic meetings at A.Rod Corp in the past few days about how to divide their assets. Jennifer and Alex were in business together on many business projects and real estate deals,” a source told the outlet.

The source added, “They were not yet married, so it is less complicated, and they both have a lot of wealth, and equally put in their own money into numerous ventures.”

A source told People that the split was a long-time coming after issues between the couple for months.

“They have been on the rocks for almost three months now. They’ve been trying to keep it together for the kids but everyone knew it wasn’t going to work,” an insider told the outlet. “They were going to buy a mega-mansion together and then that didn’t happen, once they backed out of the deal all their friends down here [in Miami] knew.”

Another source told the outlet, “They started having problems during the lockdown. They did therapy together. They really worked on their relationship.”

A source also told Us Weekly that there were issues for the couple “for a while.”

“The last time they had seen each other was March 1. They haven’t seen each other since then. There have been issues in their relationship for a while now,” the source told the outlet.

TMZ had sources that confirmed the split and they said the couple broke up on Friday, but they didn’t know what caused the split.

E! Online had a source that claimed Jennifer was the one to call of the engagement over trust issues.

“Jennifer has ended things with Alex,” the insider said. “After months of questioning things and fighting, Jennifer felt like she could no longer trust Alex anymore.”

The outlet also said that the whole Madison LeCroy scandal “definitely” did not play a part in the split.
