A24′s movie The Inspection is currently playing in theaters and it’s getting a lot of awards attention, including a National Board of Review award for being one of the year’s the Top Ten Independent Films.

We caught up with actor Andrew Kai, who plays Label in the film, to learn more about him.

Andrew is a Los Angeles native and the son of supermodel Tom Tripodi. He has previously been seen in the Valley Girl remake and opposite Fivel Stewart in The Never List.

Gabrielle Union holds hands with her co-star Jeremy Pope at the premiere of their new movie, The Inspection, during the 2022 New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Friday (October 14) in New York City.

The two actors met up with their co-stars Raul Castillo, Aaron Dominguez, Eman Esfandi, McCaul Lombardi, Aubrey Joseph, and Andrew Kai, as well as producers Effie Brown and Chester Algernal Gordon and director Elegance Bratton for a Q&A on stage ahead of the screening.

Earlier in the day, Gabrielle and Jeremy also participated in another press conference for the film.

Just recently, Gabrielle opened up about how she found it difficult to take on the role of Inez, a mother who rejects her son after finding out that he is gay.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is picture perfect as she hits the red carpet at the special screening of her latest film All About Nina held during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival at SVA Theatre on Sunday (April 22) in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Common, Jordan Christian Hearn, Sheldon White and Andrew Kai, as well as the film’s writer-director Eva Vives.

The story follows Nina Geld (Winstead), a bracingly funny and blisteringly provocative stand-up comedian whose career is taking off, but whose personal life is a near-complete disaster. To escape a difficult ex and to prepare for a prospectively life-changing audition, Nina flees to Los Angeles where she meets Rafe (Common), who challenges almost every preconception she has — including those around her own deeply troubled past.
