Ansel Elgort has been offered the role of Augustus Waters in the highly anticipated film The Fault in Our Stars, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The 19-year-old actor will star opposite Shailene Woodley, who he is working with right now on the film Divergent.

“Ansel is whip-smart and uber-charismatic and everything I dreamed for Augustus Waters,” the novel’s author John Green told EW. “I am by nature a cautious pessimist, but I’ll just say it: Now that we have Shailene and Ansel, I am completely, unreservedly psyched about this movie.”

“Ansel Elgort is the epitome of the boy John Green brought to life so vividly in his novel and he truly embodies the character traits we admire so much about Gus,” director Josh Boone added. “His humor, sensitivity, honesty and confidence floored us. Watching him with Shailene was like seeing the film for the first time. Hearing then say okay to each other was incredibly moving. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have found our Gus.”

Chloe Moretz is chosen as the prom queen in the full official trailer for her highly anticipated horror flick Carrie!

The 16-year-old actress stars alongside Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Ansel Elgort, and Alex Russell in the flick about a sheltered high school girl (Moretz) who unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers.

Carrie, which is a remake of the classic 1976 film of the same name, will hit theaters on October 18.

Ansel Elgort shows off his shirtless six pack in a new feature for Flaunt magazine‘s Men’s Spring Fashion 2013 issue, out on newsstands now!

Here is what the 19-year-old Carrie and Divergent actor had to share with the mag:

On being a triple threat (actor, singer, dancer): “I consider myself an actor first and foremost. I’ve spent seven years fine-tuning my craft, learning how to lose control while being in control.”

On getting the role in Carrie: “When I finally found out I got the part, I literally skipped down Madison Avenue full-force while listening to progressive house-music. I tasted euphoria in that moment. Now I know what it feels like to be high.”

On his acting inspiration and celebrity crush, Tom Hardy: “He lets himself become the character and reveals so much about himself in the process. He is very special. I have a girlfriend and I love her BUT I would go gay for Tom!!”
