Legendary British broadcaster David Frost, who was best known for his interviews with President Richard Nixon, has died at the age of 74.
The interviews were the basis for the award-winning film Frost/Nixon, in which he was portrayed by Michael Sheen. The movie, which was first a play, went on to be nominated for five Academy Awards and five Golden Globes, including Best Picture for both.
“My heart goes out to David Frost‘s family,” British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted. “He could be — and certainly was with me — both a friend and a fearsome interviewer.”
