Dean is finally back!
The 26-year-old South Korean singer-songwriter returned on Thursday (March 28) with the music video for his song “Dayfly” featuring Korean indie singer Rad Museum and f(x) star Sulli.
“Dayfly” marks Dean‘s return to music after a year spent writing and recording, including spending four months in London’s RAK Studios and Metropolis Studios.
“Visually, my upcoming album is gonna mix cultures, video, film, and fashion. I’ve been interested in minimalism and futuristic designs, and I think London is the best place to learn and be inspired for those things. Plus London has so much history and an amazing vibe,” Dean said of his upcoming music.
“It’s about regret and repetitive cycles. ‘Instagram’ and ‘dayfly’ have common themes. It’s about observing myself. I couldn’t see myself for a longtime. This album is about expressing who I am, who I was, and who I want to be. Someday I won’t be able to remember everything and someday I will eventually die. So my motivation came from wanting to make my own record of my life and my legacy,” he said of the song.
