Felicity Jones Isn't Ruling Out A Return as Jyn in the 'Star Wars' Franchise

Felicity Jones truly believes that her Star Wars character Jyn could be reincarnated for another movie one day.

The 37-year-old actress opened up to The Hollywood Reporter in a new feature about her ill-fated character from Rogue One, who was sadly killed as the Death Star fired on Scarif, but she has hopes for a reincarnation.

“I just keep saying that reincarnation is totally possible in the Star Wars universe,” Felicity laughed. “So, I feel there’s unfinished business for Jyn, for sure.”

She expanded on her thoughts about how Jyn would re-enter the universe.

“I think it would be fascinating to see her getting older and wiser and fighting the dark forces in the universe, of which there are many it seems,” Felicity added.

Felicity can next be seen in Netflix’s The Midnight Sky, and director and co-star George Clooney changed something in the movie for her.

George Clooney Changed The Storyline of 'Midnight Sky' After Learning of Felicity Jones' Pregnancy

After Felicity Jones revealed that she was expecting her first child to George Clooney, he made a change to The Midnight Sky script.

Speaking in a new interview with Empire magazine (via), George opened up about the change and how it actually made the story even better.

“About three or four weeks into shooting, I got a call from Felicity,” he recalled. “We started shooting the Iceland parts in October of last year, and we were going to shoot the space parts in January. She calls me and goes, ‘Uhhh, I’m pregnant’. I was like, ‘Oh, sh-t! You’re kidding!’”

George went on, explaining he had a couple of options on what to do next.

“The first thing we tried to do was shoot her and just do head replacement. Meaning we shoot each scene with her three times: once with her, once with a body double, and once with nothing in it. But we started looking at it and thought, ‘She’s not comfortable in this sort of thing’,” he says. “There’s already enough space stuff, on wires and things. None of us felt comfortable putting her in any kind of position of stress.”

George added, “Then it was really simply sitting down and going, ‘Okay, so, you know, people have sex! They’re going to be in space for a long time and she’s pregnant’.”

“I think it ends up adding to the story, in a way. It makes it kind of beautiful by the end.”

The Midnight Sky will debut on Netflix in December. You can see the first look pics here!

'On the Basis of Sex' Actress Felicity Jones Pays Tribute to the Late Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Felicity Jones played Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the 2018 movie On the Basis of Sex and now she’s paying tribute to the late Supreme Court Justice after her death.

The Oscar-nominated actress mourned the loss of the icon in a statement that was released on Saturday (September 19).

Ruth Bader Ginsburg gave us hope, a public figure who stood for integrity and justice – a responsibility she did not wear lightly,” Felicity said (via People). “She will be missed not only as a beacon of light in these difficult times but for her razor-sharp wit and extraordinary humanity. She taught us all so much. I will miss her deeply.”

In an interview with Yahoo ahead of the film’s release in 2018, Felicity opened up about why Ruth was a superhero.

“I feel that she’s a pioneer,” she said. “She’s someone who has pushed back against injustice. And someone who definitely understood injustice because she’d gone through it herself and then harnessed the anger that she felt in an incredibly productive way and gives us hope that change can happen.”
