Florence + the Machine Drops 'Wish That You Were Here' From 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' - Stream & Lyrics!

Florence + The Machine has released their brand new song “Wish That You Were Here” and you can stream it right here!

The track is set to be featured on the upcoming soundtrack to Tim Burton‘s dark fantasy adventure film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which is expected to hit theaters on September 30th.

‘Wish That You Were Here’ is about the idea that love is a journey and a risk,” Florence said in a statement. “Having been on tour, I’ve lived in a sort of magical time bubble, where the days almost blend together. It’s amazing, but it comes at a cost — a cost of leaving the people you love behind for a year or two. You kind of feel like if you could sing a song into the wind, maybe the wind could take it to them in a way that you can’t with a text or a call. You just want to send your love in a different way, in a way to somehow reach the unreachable.”

Florence + the Machine Drops Three Songs for 'Final Fantasy XV' Soundtrack!

Florence + the Machine recorded three new songs for the video game Final Fantasy XV‘s soundtrack and you can listen to them right here!

“I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game,” Florence said in a statement. “It wouldn’t have made sense.”

“In some ways the landscape of Final Fantasy XV and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well, it’s mythical and beautiful and epic,” she continued. “I was listening to Classic FM and there was a whole 2 hour program about classical music in videogames. It was so inspiring and a whole scope of music that I didn’t know about. It was really fascinating, the music was incredibly beautiful and emotional and I took it as a sort of sign, to see what I can do in this medium.”

Florence + The Machine Drops 'Queen of Peace' & 'Long and Lost' Music Video - Watch Here!

Check out the stunning and emotional new music video for Florence + the Machine‘s songs “Queen of Peace” and “Long & Lost“!

“We filmed ‘Queen of Peace’ and ‘Long & Lost’ in Scotland, one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to or filmed. The coast of Scotland is breathtaking, beautiful and harsh, an aesthetic mix that both Florence and I have been very interested in during the making of these videos,” director Vincent Haycock said in a statement. “The Scottish people are amazing and especially the town of Easdale, the small island that we lived on and filmed. We shot in the winter and it was cold, brutal and endlessly inspiring, which I think really helped the story of Florence’s struggle with her family, the younger innocence vs. the feuding violence of the men around her, etc. The end of the video was done in a single take, at the very last seconds of light during a stormy barge ride on a freezing sea. The effort and focus on both the actors and crew was so amazing, Florence delivers one of my favorite moments to date and it’s one of my proudest technical and narrative accomplishments.”

The tracks appear on the band’s latest album How Big How Blue How Beautiful, which is available on iTunes and in stores now!
