Britney Spears salutes the crowd as she makes her way onto the stage at the first round of X Factor auditions on Thursday (May 24) in Austin, Texas.

The 30-year-old pop star joined her fellow judges Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, and L.A. Reid to find new talent for the show.

At one point during the taping, Brit‘s reaction to an audition was “Holy cow, yes!” to which Simon said “Holy cat, yes!” in response. Lol!

Britney took to her Twitter later in the day to address reports that she had walked off the show.

“#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!,” she wrote. In case you missed it, check out an exclusive pic of Brit sitting at the judges table.

“I’m so excited for the auditions today!!!! It’s my first day… woo hoo!! Who’s coming??!!! #XFACTORUSA,” fellow new judge Demi Lovato tweeted. “OMG!!! This is so much fun!”

Britney Spears stands close to Simon Cowell at the 2012 Fox Upfront presentation held at Central Park’s Wollman Rink on Monday (May 14) in New York City.

The 30-year-old pop star was joined by Demi Lovato, who wrapped her arm around L.A. Reid.

That same day, Britney and Demi were announced as the new The X Factor judges alongside returning judges Simon and L.A.!

“It’s official! #SimonBritneyDemiLA #DemiXFactor. I am so excited!!!!” Demi tweeted.

It’s official – Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are joining The X Factor as judges for the upcoming season!

The big announcement arrived on Monday (May 14) during Fox’s Upfront Presentation held at NYC’s Beacon Theater. Brit even tweeted a pic with fellow judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join The X Factor judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!” the 30-year-old pop star said in a statement.

“I’m so thrilled to join this legendary group of judges on [the show],” Demi, 19, added. “To be able to spend each week with Simon, L.A. and Britney watching the best that America has to offer is truly a dream come true.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z attend the launch party for Erica Reid‘s book “The Thriving Child” on Tuesday (May 8) at a private residence in New York City.

The party was hosted by Erica‘s husband, record executive and X Factor judge L.A. Reid!

The book, which is in stores now, is about Erica‘s journey through raising two children with allergies, asthma, and other common challenges. It also features in-depth prescriptive advice from top experts, including doctors, and celebrity mothers.

Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid, and Steve Jones arrive at the premiere of The X Factor on Wednesday (September 14) at the ArcLight in Hollywood.

Nicole paired her Randi Rahm dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Swarovski bag, a Loree Rodkin ring, and Diamond in the Rough earrings.

A note to future X Factor hopefuls, here are five songs Simon never wants to hear again at an audition: R. Kelly‘s “I Believe I Can Fly,” Etta James‘ “At Last,” The Righteous Brothers‘ “Unchained Melody,” Jason Mraz‘s “I’m Yours,” and John Legend‘s “Ordinary People.”

Simon revealed his list during a recent conference call to promote the FOX competition series, which kicks off next Wednesday (September 21) at 8 p.m.!

Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, L.A. Reid, and Steve Jones pose together for these new promo shots for their upcoming competition series, The X Factor.

The 51-year-old former American Idol judge recently said that he felt The X Factor would have been canceled if Paula had not signed on.

“At one point, when [Paula's] deal came down to the 11th hour, I remember saying to the team, ‘If she’s not there, you may as well cancel filming.’ I really felt that strongly that I wanted her with me,” Simon said.
